Preventive Health
Imaging for Women

Shree Imaging now offers you an opportunity to know more about yourself. We believe that by developing this comprehensive Preventive Health Imaging program, we are empowering Indian women and putting their health in their own hands. Our services include high-end Digital Mammography, breast ultrasound, and pelvic ultrasound.

As staunch believers in the ethical practice of medicine, we tailor the tests conducted for you towards your specific needs, avoiding any tests that would not add real value.

Digital Mammography

A mammography scan is a High-Resolution X-Ray of the breasts, intended for early detection of breast cancer. Studies worldwide have shown that breast cancer has a better survival rate when detected early. It is a simple procedure and requires no special preparation.

Advice: Every woman above the age of 40 years should get an X-Ray mammogram done at least once every two years, with the frequency varying based on family history and other factors. This advice stands even if you cannot feel any lump in the breast. Learning self-breast examination is also emphasized.

Breast Ultrasound

Ultrasound is the most harmless method of seeing inside the human body, involving no radiation and no known side effects of repeated scans. For women under 40 years of age, we advise a breast ultrasound instead of an X-ray Mammogram. Breast ultrasound scanning can also help clarify doubts that may arise after the X-Ray Mammogram. At Shree Diagnostic, we do not charge extra for such scans when provided as a supplement to an X-Ray mammogram, as we believe in providing the most accurate report to the patient.

Pelvic Ultrasound

As mentioned previously, ultrasound is a harmless method of seeing inside the human body. Pelvic Ultrasound enables us to detect diseases of the ovaries, uterus, cervix, and other pelvic organs at a very early stage, even before the patient feels any distress. It can help pick up diseases such as fibroids, ovarian cysts, ovarian tumours, uterine masses, etc., and enables early intervention and treatment. Although ultrasound can show these lesions in great detail, it is always important to correlate the findings with the patient’s clinical presentation. Treating the patient and not just the scan is crucial. If positive findings are present on Pelvic Ultrasound, we can inform your gynaecologist and suggest a follow-up with a Pelvic MRI, if required.
